We attended the Christmas Train (North Pole Express) and it was delightful. We booked a compartment and received a cookie and drink for each child and a mince pie and mini bottle of port for each adult. There were various characters that came along the train plus Santa with a gift. Would recommend and will will go again.
Nice heritage railway, cafe, toilets, museum and gift shop. Train journey takes about 40 minutes return trip through countryside. Restored engines, plenty of parking. Nice vintage carriages. They run special events throughout the year paying more restoration.
We had the most enjoyable Christmas experience on the steam train today. Characters took their time to greet each family and made it a very special time for the children and adults. We all thought it a very reasonable price.
We went to Foxfield by special arrangement for the memorial service of a good friend. We were made very welcome and everything went well from Foxfield's point of view. We had a great day on a sad occasion. Thank you to all for doing us proud.
Just a fantastic place with the nicest people I've met in a very long time , well organised and the characters on the train really went for it. Absolutely would recommend.
Used to come here as a kid. Not been for over 20 years. Its like stepping back in time. £20.00 for a great day out. And was able to ride the trains all day.
Lovely charity run service. Sadly, we chose to go on a really hot day. Although I had been in communication with a volunteer about disabled access for my father, my last email wasn't read, so I booked a compartment to ourselves as we had dogs with us too. It wasn't at the disabled entrance to train. Managed to get him on to our compartment, but it was occupied by another person, so a bit cramped and not quite what we hoped for. I would definitely recommend going a sweet little journey. But make sure you discuss access if you have disabled passengers.
Had a fantastic ride on the North Pole Express. Great time for kids and grown-ups alike. It was fabulous.
